Students from across Arqus are invited to take part in a five-day international workshop programme exploring research, collaboration and academic development in an intercultural environment.

Students from across Arqus are invited to take part in a five-day international workshop programme exploring research, collaboration and academic development in an intercultural environment.

The University of Wrocław will host ‘United in Curiosity: International Student Workshop Week’, taking place from 19 to 23 October 2026. The event is open to Bachelor’s, Master’s and long-cycle students from Arqus universities; English will be the working language and the event will be held on-site at the University of Wrocław. Designed for students interested in strengthening their academic potential, the programme offers a unique opportunity to explore how curiosity and engagement with research can shape academic and professional pathways. Through interactive workshops, discussions and collaborative activities, participants will work together in an interdisciplinary and international setting, exchanging perspectives and experiences with peers from across the Arqus community.

Throughout the week, students will reflect on how scientific interests develop in different countries and institutions, discover diverse approaches to student research engagement, and explore how research-related activities can contribute to their future careers.

What participants will gain

By taking part in United in Curiosity, students will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain practical experience in interdisciplinary teamwork
  • Strengthen their creative problem-solving and idea development skills
  • Gain insights into academic pathways and research opportunities
  • Develop transferable skills to support future academic and professional growth
  • Present their ideas in an international setting
  • Build connections with students, researchers and academic communities across Arqus

Programme highlights

The programme will include:

  • Interactive workshops on research, collaboration and artificial intelligence in science
  • Meetings with inspiring professionals and experts from academia and beyond
  • Exchanges with student scientific societies and academic communities
  • Team-based project work tackling real academic challenges
  • Final presentations and reflection sessions

Participants will also benefit from an inclusive international experience, with coffee breaks, lunches, dinners and accommodation provided during the programme – but students are expected to cover their own travel costs to and from Wrocław.

How to take part

Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until all available places are filled. No university nominations are required. Students interested in joining the programme are invited to contact their home university’s Arqus representatives and follow the registration process provided by their institution.
