Led by the University of Graz, funding has been approved for the project for a 24-month period starting in September 2026. EAS-EL will strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship within the Arqus Alliance by creating a shared ecosystem in which students, researchers and staff can develop and test ideas based on artificial intelligence and turn them into innovative solutions and entrepreneurial ventures.
The two-year EAS-EL project will boost innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration within the Arqus Alliance by firmly embedding responsible, human-centred AI education and entrepreneurship within its long-term strategy. By establishing sustainable structures, AI expertise is deliberately made accessible beyond the STEM subjects to the humanities, social sciences and business studies. The aim is to train a new generation of innovators capable of tackling complex global challenges, whilst at the same time underpinning the Alliance’s commitment to excellence in education and research, as well as its tangible benefits for European society.
