Over the next 36 months, starting this coming October, the consortium will work together to put the vision of the European Degree into practice. Through EDLive, the alliance will contribute to the development of common quality standards, transparent multi-institutional governance, well-supported mobility pathways and more inclusive approaches to transnational education, thereby helping to shape a stronger and globally competitive European Higher Education Area.
Ulrike Krawagna (University of Graz), the project coordinator, explains:
“We are proud that Arqus is one of the European higher education alliances selected to contribute to the European Commission’s flagship initiative for higher education. We are helping to shape common European standards for high-quality joint study programmes and supporting the development of a more integrated and inclusive European Higher Education Area.”
Arqus’ partner universities bring more than 25 years’ experience in designing and implementing joint study programmes and have taken on leading roles in European and global initiatives and projects such as EDLab, JOIMAN, JOI.CON and JoinSee. With EDLive, the alliance is once again strengthening its role as a key player in shaping the future of European higher education cooperation and reaffirming its long-standing commitment to educational innovation, academic excellence and in-depth transnational cooperation.
The project has been awarded funding of €999,491.28 for a duration of 36 months.
