Arqus Innovation Fund 2024: Selection results published!

Arqus-Innovationsfonds 2024

Arqus is delighted to announce that the results of the 3rd call for the Arqus Innovation Fund have been published!

The Arqus Innovation Fund incentivises innovative internal bottom-up initiatives from Arqus staff and students by providing seed funding to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as to increase the visibility of Arqus internally and encourage further staff engagement. The aim of this seed-funding call was twofold:

  • For Arqus Working Groups: to provide guidance to Arqus Working Groups on the external funding opportunities available for the individual innovative initiatives in the Arqus Erasmus+ work plan 2022-2026, and to provide financial support for expenses that cannot be covered by other sources.
  • For ad hoc bottom-up initiatives: to incentivise innovative ad hoc bottom-up initiatives from Arqus academics, administrative staff and students with a joint approach.

A total of €199,060.00 have been allocated to both streams in this call.

This is the list of the initiatives that have been selected for funding regarding Arqus Working Groups:

  • Arqus Teaching Innovation Summer School
  • Teaching Innovation Workshops
  • Arqus Joint Microcredential Courses Development
  • Career Week Mobilities
  • Arqus Mentoring Programme for Early-Stage Researchers – Mobilities
  • Arqus Online Language Courses Programme

The following Ad Hoc Bottom-Up initiatives were selected:

  • PFMO: Projects Finance Management Offices initiative
  • ARQUS: an Alliance supporting Refugees’ right to a Qualified and Unique Study experience
  • EDU-CLIMA: Cross-disciplinary EDUcation for ClIMate Action
  • “Fiasco Fest goes Arqus”: How to joyfully move on from rejection and career misfortunes
  • QQURE: workshop on Quality of Qualitative approaches in Urban REsearch
  • Interdisciplinary collaborative learning experiences: blazing the trail
  • Beyond majority languages: research dissemination and teaching promotion of minority and minoritized languages in Europe
  • Soil erosion in semi-arid landscapes affected by climate change – short course in applied Earth Sciences
  • Arqus Global Connect: International Collaborative Learning Initiative
  • Driving Social innovation with AI-Powered Challenge-Based Learning
  • ReLead – Summer and Spring Schools on Research Leadership and Career Development for Early Stage Career Researchers

All selected initiatives will be contacted by email by the co-leads of the Arqus Innovation Fund with further information about the funding amount, any further processes, monitoring, etc. Initiatives not selected for funding will receive further information on the reasons for rejection from the co-leads.

We are expecting to launch a 4th call in spring 2025. Stay tuned!

The complete information on the results, including the initiatives selected, non-selected for funding and non-eligible initiatives, are available in the Innovation Fund section of the website.
