On 18 October, the Arqus Alliance celebrated its eighth anniversary – marking eight years of collaboration, shared ambitions and a growing European community. This year’s anniversary is particularly special: we are not only celebrating how far we have come, but also the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Alliance.
A new chapter, renewed trust
The European Commission has once again placed its trust in Arqus, supporting a new phase in our journey as a European University Alliance. This renewed commitment recognises the work we have accomplished together and gives us fresh momentum to continue shaping the future of European higher education.
And there is even more to celebrate! Three additional projects have also been awarded funding, opening up new opportunities for our community:
- Arqus Talent Scholarship Fund: supporting 38 talented students and fostering academic opportunities across our universities.
- EDILive: advancing the Joint European Degree Label and strengthening European cooperation in higher education.
- EAS-EL: strengthening AI-driven innovation and entrepreneurship across the Alliance.
Together, these achievements reflect Arqus’ continued commitment to collaboration and innovation, turning shared ambitions into new opportunities.
Eight years together – and many more to come!
Arqus is much more than a network of universities. It is a community built on shared values, trust and the belief that we can achieve more by working together across borders.
