Following the success of the first edition, the University of Lyon 1 is launching a second series of seminars on climate change and sustainable development. This will take place online from September to December 2025.
The programme aims to provide students and researchers with the tools to tackle these global issues with a multidisciplinary approach. Led by researchers and academics from the universities (Granada, Graz, Lyon 1, Minho, Padua, Vilnius, Wrocław and Durham), the programme will shed light on important topics ranging from the physics of aerosols and greenhouse gases to the "One Health" approach to climate change, historical pollen data and their impact on plant species.
This initiative is primarily aimed at Master's students and young researchers at Arqus universities, but is open to all interested parties. The seminars take place from September to mid-December on Tuesdays at 17:30 (CET). The full programme can be found down here.
Each seminar is structured as follows:
- Introduction to the topic
- Scientific content and related research
- Questions and discussions between the seven partner universities
