The Arqus and ENLIGHT Alliances invite Open Science enthusiasts and knowledge seekers in general to participate in their webinar series on Open Science. The first webinar “Opportunities and challenges in practicing Open Science” will be held on 13th December 2023 from 9:00 to 10:30 CET.
Open Science plays a pivotal role in the sharing of knowledge and research findings across various disciplines, making scientific research accessible to all, with benefits for both scientists and society as a whole. While many researchers are already actively engaged in Open Science, there are also individuals who encounter difficulties and may be uncertain about how to begin their journey. For them, the upcoming webinar series aims to identify and discuss obstacles and reservations in using Open Science, and also to present best practices to help individuals overcome these challenges.
The first webinar of the series, titled “Opportunities and challenges in practicing Open Science”, is scheduled by 13th December from 9:00 to 10:30 CET. In it, Pia Voigt (Co-lead of the initiative “Open Science Agenda” in the Arqus R.I. project at Leipzig University) will present Open Science practices and challenges in a European University Alliance.
The next webinar will take place on 28th February 2024 from 9:00 to 10:30 CET. Richèl Bilderbeek from the University of Uppsala (Sweden) will present insights in the pros and cons of Open Science within the local Open Science community. Information about registration will be provided soon.
