High Noon - Didactics at lunch
The emergence and increasing use of generative AI in education is troubling educational actors and institutions alike. On the other hand is education key for challenging the techno-utopian narratives and promises around generative AI, its impact on individuals, communities and society more generally. In this talk, sociotechnical imaginaries around generative AI in education and some of the responses that we have seen so far, will be explored.
About Juliane Jarke:
Juliane Jarke is Professor of Digital Societies at the University of Graz. Her research attends to the increasing importance of digital data and algorithmic systems in the public sector, education and for ageing populations.
