Dr. Matthias Wendland is a Professor of Civil Law and Digital Transformation Law at the Department of Business Administration, Economics and Law at the University of Graz (Austria). Professor Wendland’s main fields of research are commercial law, civil procedural law, IT law and artificial intelligence laws. He focuses on the question of how laws can react flexibly to the challenges posed by the digital transformation in areas such as data protection, medical law, IT security and the use of algorithmic systems.
