The Arqus Community of Practice "Libraries of the future" invites employees of the Arqus universities to its hybrid event. This is being organised by the University of Graz under the motto "Impact of AI in Arqus Member Libraries".
The hybrid meeting will be held on 6 November. However, the part of the event on 7 November will only take place in person in Graz. This meeting will bring together experts from Arqus member libraries, research offices and academic departments to discuss the current challenges associated with expanding knowledge of current AI-related developments in the university libraries of the Arqus Alliance.
With contributions from speakers from the University of Graz and other Arqus member institutions, the meeting will address important topics in this area, including:
- internal opportunities and risks of AI deployment
- user-centred use of AI in libraries
- Capacity building for library staff (prompting, analyses, etc.)
On the evening of 6 November, there will be a dinner for participants attending in person.
Although the event is primarily aimed at library staff, it is open to all Arqus members interested in Artificial Intelligence.
