Register now: New training courses for cross-university collaboration

How do you work together effectively at international level? Several Arqus Joint Programme Staff Trainings answer these questions in relation to a wide range of topics.

One aim of Arqus is to develop joint programmes at all university levels. To support interested academic and administrative staff in this endeavour, a series of training courses relevant to the design and implementation of joint programmes has been developed. These Arqus Joint Programme Staff Trainings are designed as modules that can be attended individually or consecutively. The first three modules, which were offered between the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, were designed as basic modules.

The upcoming trainings are designed as advanced modules to support the development and implementation of individual programmes and are also available to all interested parties. The training courses will be conducted online and the access links and further information will be sent to all registered participants by email.

Arqus is therefore pleased to invite all interested parties to the following Arqus Joint Programme Trainings :


Module 6: An introduction to Virtual Exchange

Monday, 8 September 2025 ,10 - 11.30 am (CEST)

Participants will receive an introduction to the topic of "Virtual Exchange", focusing on the reasons and motivation for setting up such exchanges within joint programmes. Participants will learn about the different forms of virtual exchange (bilateral vs. multilateral; co-designed vs. pre-designed; etc.) and reflect on which model(s) fits better to their context. Some examples will be discussed.

Module 7: Erasmus Mundus initiatives

Thursday, 11 September 2025, 10 - 11.30 am (CEST)

Participants will receive an introduction to the Erasmus Mundus Design Programme and the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master. The requirements and the most important documents needed for the application will be explained and insights into the effective planning and structuring of an Erasmus Mundus project will be provided.

Module 8: Financial planning

Tuesday, 23 September 2025, 10 - 11.30 am (CEST)

Participants will learn about the most important aspects of financial planning for joint programmes. This includes developing a comprehensive budget plan that takes into account revenue sources such as programme fees as well as potential costs such as accreditation, personnel, events and more. Different scenarios for setting and managing programme fees between partner institutions will be explored. Participants will also understand how to structure a financial agreement that includes fee guidelines, cost estimates and flexibility for future adjustments.
