Free Spanish and Lithuanian courses: Registration is open

New semester, new languages: These A1 online language courses offer the opportunity to learn Spanish or Lithuanian in the summer semester. Enrolment for the course is now open.


Spanish A1

The Spanish course ¡Curso de español A1 en línea! will take place between 3 March and 9 April on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 to 6.30 pm (CET). Registration is open until 27 February.

This course offers an interactive experience designed to learn the basics of Spanish from the comfort of your own home via Zoom. The focus is on communicating together in the new language and working independently with what has been learnt. At the end of the course, all students receive a certificate of attendance. The prerequisite for this is that at least 75 per cent of the course dates have been attended and the course tasks completed. Further information on the methodology and course materials will be provided at the beginning of the course.

Important: If you fail to attend the course twice, a person from the waiting list will be offered a place on the course!

The course is open to all members of the Arqus Alliance, but due to high demand, only up to two participants per university can be accepted. So make sure you secure your place early! So be quick and register at this link!

Lithuanian A1

The A1 online Lithuanian course "lietuvių kalbos kursai" starts at the end of February as part of Arqus! Registration is still possible until 23 February. The course will take place between 24 February and 14 May on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11.30 a.m. (CET). 

The programme is designed to learn the most important language basics from the comfort of your own home. The weekly team sessions will focus on communication. In addition, some tasks will be completed independently based on what has been learnt.

At the end of the course, all students receive a certificate of attendance. The prerequisite for this is that at least 75 per cent of the course dates have been attended and the course tasks completed. Further information on the methodology and course materials will be provided at the beginning of the course.
