On 19 December, a thinkathon entitled "Europe as a global actor: Which competences do we need in a world in crisis?" will take place at Leipzig University and online.
The thinkathon and workshop will bring together experts, employers and stakeholders with students on Master's and Bachelor's degree programmes in the social sciences and humanities. Students specifically focussing on the interdisciplinary study of Europe from a transregional perspective are invited.
Travel costs can be covered for a limited number of participants from Arqus universities.
About the workshop
The hybrid workshop combines an introductory lecture and a roundtable with interactive world cafés. In the focus groups, participants will discuss which knowledge and skills are particularly relevant from a practical perspective, which challenges will arise in the various fields of work in the future and how universities can prepare their students for them.
At the same time, career prospects, networks and insights into a career in research will be offered.
The event will take place on site in Leipzig and online. Keynote speeches and roundtables as well as some of the World Cafés will also be offered online in addition to the on-site event.
