The GUSEGG International Summer School was once again a great success this year. And 16 July was all about Arqus at this event. The Summer School's "Arqus Day" focussed on the topic of "Translating Time" from different perspectives.
Arqus Day began with morning lectures by Juliette Cherbuliez from the University of Minnesota and Murray Forman from Northeastern University. Later in the day, Roberta Maierhofer gave a presentation on the Arqus Alliance, which was attended by 65 international students and 10 lecturers.
AI in focus
In the evening, Satty Flaherty-Echeverría from Carleton College gave an inspiring talk entitled "Digitalisation & AI: Academic Challenges". She described the complexity of artificial intelligence and discussed how we can manage its complexity in the academic environment and integrate it effectively into our everyday professional lives.
The Arqus Day was organised in collaboration with the Arqus AI&DT Living Lab. The participation fee for one Arqus student was also covered.
