Highlight of the European Researchers' Night on Sep 24: "Science & Cinema: Zombies, Monsters and Mutants"

Why can't zombies actually walk and what chances would they have of survival in the real world? Kai-Uwe Fröhlich, molecular biologist at the University of Graz, discusses monsters, mutants, dinosaurs and, last but not least, viruses with Fritz Treiber in a special edition of the "Science & Cinema" format relaunched for European Researchers' Night. How are they portrayed in movies, how much science is behind them, and what might we actually experience one day?

The event will take place in presence (3-G rule applies), remaining places are still available. Therefore: register quickly - for an extraordinary, scientific evening with free admission. The event is also the University of Graz's contribution to the European Researchers' Night within the Arqus Alliance.

Lecturers: Prof. Dr. Kai-Uwe Fröhlich, Dr. Fritz Treiber
Time: Friday, September 24, 2021, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Location: Universitätsplatz 3a, 8010 Graz; HS 62.01
