The Arqus European University Alliance has developed an international online mentoring programme for early stage researchers as part of the Action Line 6 "Research Support and Early Stage Researcher Development". The fully online-based programme is aimed at PhD students and early postdocs at Arqus universities who are interested in a professional support in the transition phase from predoc to postdoc.
The programme: Mentees are connected with a mentor in the weeks following their successful application. Mentor and mentee meet for at least three one-hour virtual sessions over a period of six months. To ensure a clear focus on strategic (personal) decisions or further career steps of the interdisciplinary researchers, the Arqus Alliance has designed guidelines.
In addition, mentees participate in six one-and-a-half-hour trainings to strengthen their networking skills and learn how to get the most out of a mentoring relationship. Mentors will have the opportunity to participate in a regular mentoring lounge.
The call for applications closes on 18 April 2021.
