22nd April is internationally recognised as Earth Day, and April was labelled after this recurrence as Earth Month. In nearly 200 countries, a wide range of events occur in this period to raise awareness and create consciousness around the issues affecting the ecosystem. This is why April 2024 has been chosen by the Arqus on the Move team for the first edition of the Green Mobility Days.

The University of Graz is participating with the new Sustainability-Swap-Shelf in Heinrichstraße 36. This exchange shelf is a place for things that are no longer wanted/needed. They can then be taken by other people who may need them. In this way, the items remain in circulation and are used for longer, less new items have to be produced and less waste is generated.

What can I put in it?
Anything clean and usable that will fit on the shelf.
Do I have to swap?
No, you can bring things, take things or swap things – it’s up to you!
What is not allowed?
• Leaving stuff in front of the shelves or next to them (fire safety issue!)
• Food – please use the foodsharing "FairTeiler" at Leechgasse 24, up the stairs, last door on the right (www.foodsharing.at)
Any other rules?
• Be fair :)
• Keep it tidy
• Only clean, usable/working things
How can I help?
• Tidy up if necessary, sort things, throw out anything unusable - just jump in
