Arqus offer: Workshops for the career after the PhD

Pfeile und Schuhe am Boden

What comes after the PhD? If you are planning to pursue a career outside academia afterwards, you can get important input at this event.

Arqus is organising a training programme for PhD researchers from all disciplines who want to pursue a career outside academia. It will take place at the University of Padua (Italy) from Monday 30 June to Friday 4 July 2025. Participation is free of charge. A group of international career experts will lead practical workshops on the following topics

  • Recognising and voicing your skills for the general labour market
  • Writing an attractive (non-academic) CV
  • Mastering tricky questions at job interviews
  • Establishing an online presence and networking
  • Identifying skills to improve and possible next steps towards your career goals

In addition, participants will have the opportunity to interact with other PhD researchers from the nine different Arqus universities, share their experiences and gain insights from their peers as well as the professional trainers and recruiters.

The application deadline has been extended until Sunday, 6 April 2025, 23:50 (CET).

More information about the event, the application process and funding can be found here!
