9th edition of the Arqus Café: Registration is now open!

9. Ausgabe des Arqus-Cafés

The 9th edition of the Arqus Café will take place from 23 September to 6 December 2024, offering twelve different languages to Arqus students, and academic and administrative staff.

The Arqus Café is an online space where members of the Arqus universities meet in small groups to practice and improve their language skills in a relaxed atmosphere. In informal conversations, participants can expand their linguistic and cultural knowledge and make international contacts. Participants should have a working knowledge of the language (min. A2) so that they can actively participate. Some language cafés will be offered at two different levels: intermediate (A2/B1) and advanced (B2/C1). Please note that the cafés are not language courses.

The cafés take place once a week for one hour online via ZOOM. The tutors guiding the Arqus Café sessions are native-level speakers who have received training in leading language cafés. This time we are offering cafés in Arabic, Belarusian, German, English, French, Italian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.

At the universities of Leipzig and Vilnius, university members have also the opportunity to attend Arqus on-site-cafés!

Registration is now open and closes two weeks before the end of each language café.
