Kooperationen in verschiedensten Profilbildenden Bereichen nachhaltig fördern und die Zusammenarbeit in der Forschung mit den Arqus Partneruniversitäten intensivieren!
Das ist das Ziel, das sich die von der Uni Graz koordinierte Action Line 6 „Research Support & Early Stage Researcher Development" gesetzt hat. Mit den Calls 2020/21 für Research Stays, Pre/PostDocs Mentoring & Site Visits for doctoral groups lädt die Allianz alle Forschenden und NachwuchswissenschafterInnen der Arqus Universitäten ein, die eröffneten Möglichkeiten verschiedenster Formate von Kooperation wahrzunehmen und sich zu bewerben.
Entsprechend der gegenwärtigen Situation und bestehenden Reisebeschränkungen wurden der Förderzeitraum (bis einschließlich 30. September 2022) und/oder das Format der Ausschreibungen (e-Mentoring) angepasst.
Einreichfrist aller drei Calls ist der 16. Oktober 2020.

Promoting cooperation in the most diverse profile-forming areas and intensifying cooperation in research with the Arqus partner unviersities!
This is the goal set by Action Line 6 "Research Support & Early Stage Researcher Development" coordinated by the University of Graz. With the calls 2020/21 for research stays, Pre/PostDocs Mentoring & Site Visits for doctoral groups, the Arqus Alliance invites all researchers and ESRs of the Arqus Universities to take advantage of the opportunities of different forms of cooperation offered and to submit their application.
According to the current situation and existing travel restrictions, the funding period (up to and including 30 September 2022) and/or the format of the calls (e-mentoring) have been adapted.
The deadline for submission of all three calls is 16 October 2020.

1. Research Stays
Im Rahmen der Aktivität „6.5 Exchange Educates: short term exchange programmes for postgraduate students, ESRs, senior researchers or professors“ sollen ForscherInnen und NachwuchswissenschafterInnen an den Arqus Partneruniversitäten die Möglichkeit erhalten, kurze bzw. mittel- bis langfristige Forschungsaufenthalte an den Partneruniversitäten zu absolvieren. Der Call 2020/2021 lädt ForscherInnen und NachwuchswissenschafterInnen der Universität Graz ein, sich für eine Förderung für einen Forschungsaufenthalt an eine der Arqus Partneruniversitäten zu bewerben.
Within the framework of the activity "6.5 Exchange Educates: short term exchange programmes for postgraduate students, ESRs, senior researchers or professors", researchers and ESRs at the Arqus partner universities are given the opportunity to spend short or medium to long-term research periods at one of the partner universities. The call 2020/2021 invites researchers and ESRs of the University of Graz to apply for funding for a research stay at one of the Arqus partner universities.
2. Pre/PostDocs Mentoring
Die Arqus European University Alliance unterstützt im Rahmen der Aktivitäten "6.8.1 PreDocs Mentoring" und "6.8.3 PostDocs Coaching" 3-tägige Mentoring-Aufenthalte an einer der Arqus Partneruniversitäten für 4 bis 5 DoktorandInnen/PostDocs für persönliche Mentoring-Sitzungen mit erfahrenen Forschenden und mit dem Ziel, mehr über ihr Forschungsumfeld zu erfahren. Im Falle von Reisebeschränkungen wird die Arqus European University Alliance die DoktorandInnen/PostDocs beim Aufbau von e-Mentoring-Partnerschaften mit erfahrenen Forschenden unterstützen, um den DoktorandInnen/PostDocs die Möglichkeit bieten zu können, ihr internationales Netzwerk zu erweitern. Bewerberinnen und Bewerber werden daher gebeten, etwaige Änderungen von einem geplanten Mentoring-Aufenthalt zu einem e-Mentoring spätestens 2,5 Monate vor dem geplanten Aufenthalt bekannt zu geben. Bewerberinnen und Bewerber können ebenso in ihrer Bewerbung explizit ein e-Mentoring ansuchen.
Within the framwork of the activities "6.8.1 PreDocs Mentoring" and "6.8.3 PostDocs Coaching" the Arqus European University Alliance supports 3-day mentoring stays at one of the Arqus partner universities for 4 to 5 doctoral/postdoctoral researchers. The aim of these stays is to have in-person meetings with an experienced researcher (the mentor) and learn on site about the specific research environment. In case of travel restrictions the Arqus European University Alliance will support doctoral/postdoctoral researchers in the establishment of e-mentoring relationships with experienced researchers (mentors). The aim of the e-mentoring programme is to provide doctoral/postdoctoral researchers with the opportunity to intensify and expand their international network under Covid-related conditions. Applicants are requested to inform the local Arqus team if a scheduled mentoring-stay has to be changed into the e-mentoring format 2,5 months in advance of the planned stay the latest. Applicants may also, if this seems more appropriate, directly apply for e-mentoring.
3. Site Visits/Joint Activities of Doctoral Groups
Im Rahmen der Aktivität "6.11 Arqus PhD: an initiative to connect existing PhD training programmes" können Doktoratsgruppen eine Förderung beantragen, um in Form von Site Visits und gemeinsamen Aktivitäten nachhaltige Forschungs- und Ausbildungskooperationen zu initiieren.
